As your local food bank serving all of the Upper Peninsula’s 15 counties and 25 counties in the Lower Peninsula, we decided to showcase the Mighty Mac in our new space to represent how we are the only food bank to serve both peninsulas! ?? This is a moveable wall connected to our boardroom, and you’ll be able to check it out right when you walk through the front doors! ??

This week, FireKeepers Casino Hotel and Mel Trotter Ministries donated a combined total of over 3,000 turkeys to the food bank to help us give families a key component for their traditional holiday meals! We are so thankful for their generous donations! ?? ?? ??

Earlier this week, we held the ceremonial Grand Opening of our new facility. We are so thankful for all of our supporters, volunteers, and community partners who made this new warehouse possible! ?? A special thank you to Meijer, who made both this event and the renovation of this facility possible. Although this space won’t be officially open to the community until the new year, we are excited that our new home is finally here and for the opportunity to serve more neighbors in need in our community!

This Veterans Day, your local food bank is sending a big thank you to all veterans who served our country! We know hunger impacts veterans every single day. In fact, 1 in 9 working-age veterans are food insecure nationwide. Because of that, we know how important it is to serve food to those who served our country. We are constantly working to provide much needed food to veterans facing hunger all across West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. #VeteransDay
