Today, we pause to remember and honor nearly 3,000 lives lost in the tragic events of 9/11. We stand with the families, the injured, and salute the brave first responders who risked their lives. We hold in our hearts the journey of the 56 children who lost a federal employee parent in the 9/11 attacks. Our FEEA family had the profound privilege of standing with these remarkable young individuals, supporting them through our survivor scholarships as they reached college age. Despite facing immense loss at such tender ages, they have demonstrated incredible perseverance, reshaping their worlds with grace and strength. While our direct engagement has come to a close, our well wishes for their health and happiness are everlasting. They remain close to our hearts, always. Today, as we remember, we invite you to stand united with us in honoring all the lives touched by this tragedy. Pictured: The Pentagon Memorial, a solemn expanse stretching over two acres, stands in remembrance to the 184 lives tragically cut short on 9/11. Each empty bench bears a name, fostering a connection and encouraging reflection on the individual stories of those lost. When viewing the benches associated with the Pentagon victims, you'll see the Pentagon building in the background, uniting their memory with the place they served. In contrast, the benches representing the victims aboard American flight 77 invite you to lift your gaze to the sky. Dedicated on September 11, 2008, this memorial ensures we #NeverForget the lives and the stories of that fateful day.
