A full circle moment for me: I first attended DC Startup & Tech Week (Formerly DC Startup Week) in 2019 as an entrepreneurship student at AU. This year, I was invited to present on the main stage in the "Government Reverse Pitch." I shared about the many opportunities that FedTech in collaboration with our government partners makes possible for local entrepreneurs and startups, particularly the Homeland Security Startup Studio. This past summer, MassCEC teamed up with FedTech to launch the Massachusetts Climatetech Studio. Our goal? To accelerate the creation of climatetech startups by matching entrepreneurs with promising climate technologies stuck in the lab. After an intensive 16-week program, eight teams came together this past Tuesday to pitch their climate solutions to a distinguished panel of judges at the first annual Massachusetts Climatetech Studio Showcase at Greentown Labs. The winners of the inaugural cohort are: 1. H2 Everywhere: Alice Wang, Alfredo Galvan, Marty Cissell Tech Source: University of Massachusetts Lowell 2. Respire Energy: Candy Wong, David Hsu, Xiaowei Tang Tech Source: Worcester Polytechnic Institute 3.
