Yet, across the EU,?vaccine confidence faces growing challenges: ??Misinformation spreading through social media ??Shifting policies and government trust ??The introduction of new vaccines ??Disease outbreaks and pandemics These factors contribute to vaccine hesitancy, driving the resurgence of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) and highlighting the need for urgent, coordinated action at local, national, and European levels. ???Key insight:?The?State of Vaccine Confidence in the EU?report reveals a troubling trend—younger adults (18–34) are becoming less confident about vaccines compared to older generations. Our recommended actions: ???Develop an EU vaccine confidence rapid alert and response system to enable timely risk analysis and policy action. ???Strengthen community engagement on vaccination through national strategies, research and exchange of best practice. ???Ensure training on vaccination and communication skills for pre- and in- service health care professionals.
