The Mission is thrilled to announce it has been selected to receive a $3 million award from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines through the Affordable Housing Program. Sponsored by Harborstone Credit Union, this significant award will help support the construction of a new emergency shelter in South King County, specifically designed to address the critical needs of homeless women and children. “We are deeply grateful for this generous award and the partnership of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and Harborstone Credit Union,” said Scott Chin, Mission President. “This funding will enable us to create a safe haven where homeless women and children can find refuge, begin their journey toward long-term stability, and take next steps toward rebuilding their lives.”

Our very own President and CEO Kristina Williams was a panelist at the American Bankers Association Conference for Community Bankers yesterday, where she spoke about the vital role FHLBanks serve their members.
FHLBanks are the capital markets for community banks and it is essential that community bankers are engaged in advocating for the FHLBank system.
