Today, FHWA announced $43.1 million in #EmergencyReliefFunds to help the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service repair roads and bridges in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, damaged by Hurricane Helene. With total damage across these states expected to exceed $1 billion, the Emergency Relief program will continue to support ongoing recovery efforts through nationwide funding. The U.S. Department of Transportation is working closely with state and local partners to restore infrastructure and ensure communities are better prepared for future storms.
