Federal Partners: Most of the Western Region FEBs send out weekly summaries, updates, events that have a potential to impact your employees, etc. Are you getting them? Email [email protected] and request to be added to one of your local FEB's community of practice distribution lists. Our lists include training and employee development, Emergency Management, Shared Neutrals/ ADR, Public Affairs, and Human Resources. Please include your name, position/title, office/department, agency, which FEB you are part of (e.g. #SFFEB - Northern CA & NV; #OFEB - Oregon/ Idaho/ Eastern Washington State; #GLAFEB - Southern CA & AZ; #SFEB Norther Western WA and AK; or #HPFEB - Hawaii & Guam), as well as which distribution list you would like to be added to. Child-Rescue Corps (paid internship opportunity) - Homeland Security Investigations Disable Veterans and transitioning Service Members who are separating due to wounds, illness, or injury, are you looking for an opportunity to be a HERO? The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Human Exploitation Rescue Operation (HERO) Child Rescue Corps is a paid federal internship that is open to disabled Veterans and disabled active duty service members who are transitioning out of the service due to wounds, illness, or injury. (VA/DoD Disability rating) The program mission is to combat the growing problem of child exploitation by recruiting, training, and equipping wounded, ill, or injured veterans to become computer forensic analysts (CFAs). Although positions are not guaranteed, our goal at the end of the internship is to hire successful interns as full-time CFAs to assist Special Agents in the rescue of child sexual victims, the prosecution of sexual predators, and the prevention of child sexual abuse.
