A massive win for our waters!
I’m humbled to announce Builders Vision’s latest investment in the oceans sector: a $70 million co-guarantee to support The Bahamas Debt Conversion Project for Marine Conservation. The team and I are grateful to collaborate with the Government of The Bahamas, The Nature Conservancy, Inter-American Development Bank, AXA XL, Standard Chartered, Rothschild & Co., Bahamas National Trust (BNT), and Bahamas Protected Areas Fund (BPAF) to bring this project to life. We’re especially thrilled to be the first family office to be part of such an initiative. The preservation of coastal ecosystems is a cause dear to my heart, and our organization was founded on the belief that profits and purpose are not mutually exclusive. We believe this is an innovative financial tool for family offices and institutional investors — a whole new way to achieve both financial returns and environmental impact! Rebecca Carland wrote a blog post about the significance of this deal, and what we hope it will signal to other family offices and investors. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gFwRnx92 This has been an incredibly collaborative effort, and we’re proud to share this milestone with all of our partners. A heartfelt thank you to the Builders Vision team, whose hard work over the past several months has been instrumental in making this deal a success: Rebecca Carland, Bruce Hao, Johannes Lee, CFA, Peter Bryant, and Miranda Lindl O'Connell. #NatureBonds #Conservation #OceanConservation #BlueEconomy #Biodiversity #Bahamas #Investors

Join us this Friday at the 3rd annual San Diego Environmental Film Festival! We’ll be at the 7pm screening of ???????????? ??????????????—our Executive Director Jennifer Bushman will be on the panel following the film to talk about the bright future of responsible seafood. Celebrating their 3rd year, this festival stands out ?? Their organizers are scientists and policymakers with a big vision to inspire fun, creativity, and action in the environmental, conservation, and artistic space. Each of them has worked in the field: collecting water quality samples, monitoring coral reefs in the ocean water, developing policy to establish marine protected areas off our coast, and so much more. Like our team at Fed by Blue, they believe in the power of our collective community—and what if it all starts with a good story at the movies? Hope to see you there! ?????? ???????? ???????????? ?? bit.ly/40SpUf9 #HopeInTheWater #SanDiegoEnvironmentalFilmFestival?
