It's time for another C-CAP recap! Last week was great for current students, but we also saw many C-CAP alumni thriving at what they do. - 2 C-CAP alums, Zanae Wilson & Natalie Mrak, completed the Wagyu Sommelier certification course at Drexel University Center for Food & Hospitality Management with Jonathan Deutsch, Ph.D., CHE, CRC - Students from Mastbaum High School went on a field trip to Feast Your Eyes Catering. Chef Mason Snyder showed students the facility, all aspects of running an off premise catering company, and the team treated students to lunch. During lunch, students heard from several employees about their career pathways that lead them to Feast Your Eyes. Two C-CAP alumni, David Jones & Shiani Stover, are on staff and spoke to the current C-CAP students. - C-CAP competition workshops kicked off at Community College of Philadelphia with students practicing traditional French omelets! We had a record SEVEN C-CAP alumni in attendance to assist students & provide feedback on their work. Thank you to my coworker Ligia Richter for continuing the great programming every week, and thank you to our many community & industry partners for making these opportunities possible.

Feast Your Eyes Catering had a wonderful time at the 15th annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Telethon on CBS Philadelphia! So grateful we could feed the dedicated volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly for 14+ hours to support such an important cause. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this inspiring mission! ?? This afternoon, we welcomed students from the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) to our FEAST HQ. Students had the opportunity to tour our commissary, meet the team, and have a mini Q + A session with some of our culinary leaders over lunch. Two of our current chefs, Shi Shi and David, were both graduates of the C-CAP program and now serve as a core part of our culinary team. We are proud to support C-CAP’s incredible mission and hope to welcome more aspiring chefs through our doors. Thanks for visiting us!????????

After a 20-year hiatus, the Beaux Arts Ball made a stunning return at the enchanting Lynnewood Hall! It’s been 92 years since this Gilded Age icon opened its Ballroom doors for celebration. ? What a spectacular evening supporting DesignPhiladelphia’s expanding K-12 design education programs. Huge thank you to Uncommon Events, Inc. for your collaboration and partnership on this special project.
