There’s always a certain nervous hush that blankets a conversation when the topic of harassment or bullying comes up…why? As kids we knew exactly how to handle bullies. We could spot them, we knew what they were doing, and what needed to be done. We teach our kids how to advocate for others at school, and tell them we’ll have their back when they stand up for others. So WHY on earth do we get so nervous about this subject in the fire service?
