The Tech Council of Australia 'National Tech Summit' begins today, and I’m excited to be speaking on a panel this Wednesday afternoon. I’ll be joining a group of experts to discuss the key considerations in deciding whether to stay private or go public. Sarah Tinsley (General Counsel and Company Secretary, Culture Amp), Marc Washbourne (Co-founder and CEO, ReadyTech), Blair Beaton (Group Executive, Listings, ASX), moderated by Peter Dunne (Head of Corporate Development and General Counsel, SafetyCulture).

A global first and historic moment introducing competition to clearing and settling, and the world’s first regulated DLT private market. ? FCX’s license from ASIC and Reserve Bank of Australia is a huge moment in many ways. It was great to speak to Edward Boyd of Sky News Australia on what this means for Australia’s financial landscape, CHESS, and investors.

Great observations from The Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP and The Hon Stephen Jones MP on our licensing: ? “A new provider of clearing and settlement services has emerged… Clearing and settlement services are critical to the functioning and stability of financial markets and our changes made it possible for more providers to emerge. ? The legislation?which passed late last year?created a framework for fair, transparent and non?discriminatory access to market infrastructure for competitors, allowing them to offer their own clearing and settlement services, and that’s what’s happening.”
