We're nearly a quarter of the way complete with the Queen Creek Public Safety Facility, for the Town of Queen Creek, AZ. The Town Council toured the project last week, and could see the preparations for the second floor construction for police offices, the separate buildings for K9 and shooting range and site prep for the fire training tower. This nearly $50,000,000 undertaking entails re-purposing a former athletics building into a new joint fire and police facility, and will be complete later this year. The 83,000-square-foot facility will provide indoor aquatics, recreation, and community amenities previously missing or in short supply for the area. Congratulations to the entire West End Community on the Halloween day ribbon cutting ceremony that marks the opening of their new PK-12 school and playground. The communities of Naturita and Nucla Colorado came together in 2021 to pass a bond to make their match to their awarded CDE BEST grant. It was an honor for Hord Coplan Macht to serve this community as their architect. We are very proud of this transformational project. None of this could of happened without the West End School District’s Leasdership, thank you and congratulations to Clint Wytulka and Mike Epright. This was a fun project, one where life long relationships were forged. It was a pleasure to work with our design team; Uncompahgre Engineers, JVA, Inc. , Columbine Engineering, Inc. , Group14 Engineering, PBC, our construction partner FCI Constructors, Inc., our Owner’s Rep &Artaic Group, and our CDE Rep Meg Griffin Donaldson.
