FCEDC recently spent some time in the Queen City! Earlier this week, Robert M. Van Geons, CEcD attended the Southeast U.S./Japan (SEUS) Conference where he met with Japanese business and government officials. This conference is intended to encourage foreign direct investment (FDI) from Japanese companies. On Wednesday, he joined our partners at the North Carolina Military Business Center for the Defense Industrial Supply Chain Summit, an event that looks to expand the supply chain within defense aerospace, ground vehicle, maritime and armaments markets.

Last Friday, the FCEDC joined Cumberland County, NC and other community members for the Crown Event Center groundbreaking. The 134,000 SF building is projected to open in Spring 2027 and will host concerts, performances, banquets, conventions, and more!
