Our Dallas FCC Environmental Services team was invited by the City of Dallas Sanitation Department to be a part of EarthX this past Saturday in Klyde Warren Park. Many booths were set up and games were available for the kids to enjoy while learning about the importance of recycling ?? #WeAreFCC

We at FCC Environmental Services are pleased to hear that FCC Medio Ambiente has won the World Smart City awards in the Energy and Urban Environment category for its project 'Urban-service H2-cell chassis', or 'H2 fuel cell chassis for urban services', with the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024, held recently in Barcelona. The innovative equipment consists of a Heavy Vehicle Chassis-Platform for Urban Service Applications powered by a hybrid hydrogen fuel cell and lithium-ion battery system, with an advanced and panoramic low cab, which is applicable to all urban service activities. The company has won in competition with several very high-level projects. The award was collected by í?igo Sanz, CEO of FCC Medio Ambiente, for whom this project is "an example of teamwork and the importance that innovation, which has been in the DNA of this company for more than 110 years, has to achieve the objectives of our Sustainability Strategy 2050, a roadmap for business development based on sustainable growth" ???? #WeAreFCC

In recent days, the areas affected by the DANA floods in the Valencian Community have highlighted the importance of cleaning the sewage network before the sludge solidifies and clogs the sewage network. In response to this need, FCC Medio Ambiente has mobilised 13 mixed sewerage teams of different capacities for the pumping and suction of sludge with 26 volunteers who join the 10 teams of the same type already in service since last week. At FCC Environmental Services, we are proud of the tireless efforts FCC Medio Ambiente have made to do their part in helping the community in a time of need. #WeAreFCC #DANA

Our parent company, FCC Medio Ambiente, debuts the first electric chassis-platform powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, H2Truck. Manufactured entirely in Spain, the H2Truck is for heavy vehicles in Urban Services and the first of its kind worldwide. The H2Truck was selected as a finalist in the Global Smart City Awards in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024, in the category “Energy and Urban Environment”. With the debut of the H2Truck, FCC Environmental Services is excited for the future of solid waste collection, and the continued expansion of our green initiatives. From the moment the tragic consequences of #DANA became known, our parent company FCC Medio Ambiente worked in solidarity with cities to provide services throughout Spain. This has resulted in the contribution of volunteer workers, vehicles, and machines to collaborate in the tasks of sanitation, unclogging, and cleaning of streets. To date, 191 volunteers and 157 vehicles, machines, and specific equipment have been sent to the affected areas from various provinces and regions of Spain, including: Madrid, Zaragoza, Teruel, Alicante, Tarragona, Barcelona, Murcia, Cuenca, Castilla y León and Extremadura. The effort of our deployed volunteers has translated to date into more than 10,000 hours of work. Additionally, FCC has coordinated relief efforts with the Madrid City Council and have been organizing logistics centers to provide huge amounts of food and clothing that citizens are contributing.
