FINS = Faith IN Sport Did you know The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is now engaging coaches, athletes, and families through club and league sports? FCA Sports was launched in 2022 and since then the Gospel is being shared with more and more young athletes through highly proficient coaches who have been called to make a Kingdom difference. FCA has a growing number of club teams called the FINS - Faith IN Sport. ?? FINS Baseball - 15 club teams age 9u-16u ?? FINS Softball - 5 club teams age 10u-16u ?? FINS Track & Field - 1 club team MS/HS Not only is the Gospel being shared regularly with these athletes.. they are being equipped with the tools to grow in their faith and help others to do the same. Kingdom leaders are being cultivated in FCA Sports and they are returning to their communities and schools to make an eternal difference. This past weekend FCA was busy in Northeast Indiana! 54 athletes and 13 coaches participated in the 2nd annual FCA track & field clinic in Fort Wayne. They were all repping their JESUS WON shirts which will turn into countless opportunities to share the Good News of Christ as they wearvthrur shirts in their communities. FCA teams pray with opponents after games every chance they get. 16u FINS Softball was in action this weekend! At the end of the summer a group of FCA players and coaches will be traveling to Hungary to do softball-focused ministry with a few of our international staff!! Huddle time is a valuable opportunity for our players to hear the truth and learn how to share it. Currently our 14u players are taking turns leading huddle time with FCA’s Discovery Bible Study questions combined with a chapter of the New Testament from the Competitors Challenge. Tonight’s focus was Matthew 20.. we talked about God’s gift of eternal life and how He gives freely to those who choose to place their trust in Jesus. Who do you bow to? The picture of desperately reaching to touch the hem of someone’s garment does not match the strength that we associate with being an athlete. And yet, many will reach to touch or get an autograph from their favorite player acknowledging that they are in fact greater than us, at least at the sport that we love them for. As we begin 2025, I encourage you to reach for Jesus acknowledging that He is in fact greater than us. Psalm 2 implores us to “Kiss the Son.” Read Psalm 2 to uncover 2 reasons why.

JESUS WON! One of our FCA directors in Michigan ran into Evan Carter recently and gave him our FINS rendition of the JESUS WON shirt which was birthed through his obedience, conviction, and boldness. What an impact God has made on the culture of sport through Evan! Evan - THANK YOU for using your platform as an athlete to introduce to the victory of Jesus! Currently there are 21 FCA Club Sports teams in the Great Lakes Region called the FINS, which stands for Faith IN Sport. 242 athletes and 75 coaches are competing and developing physically while growing spiritually. This year each of our participants received a JESUS WON shirt and an FCA bracelet that explains THE FOUR which are icons that help coaches and athletes learn and share the Gospel. Just like Evan Carter - our FCA coaches, athletes, and families are engaging the culture of sport with the Good News of Christ and reminding them that JESUS WON the most important victory in the history of the world. ?
