Big Deal Energy is our all new, all virtual, competitive pre-seed funding round that puts women founders in front of women investors from all across the US. Participating angel investors will review 40+ verified company applications, select 10 semifinalists, narrow it to 5 finalists, and make at least one offer of investment. Participating investors get hands-on practice evaluating early stage companies with guidance that ensures investor education never happens at the expense of founder respect. We talk about showing up with our values and without our biases. We talk about power imbalance. We treat diligence as a collaboration, not an investigation. And we pay each finalist a $500 honorarium, because we know her time is valuable and we're asking for a lot of it. Company applications are due February 7 at 5pm Pacific.
