The guiding principle of Fort Bend County Emergency Medical Service is to provide residents and visitors in Fort Bend County with advanced, timely, professional prehospital emergency care for the purpose of treating, stabilizing and transporting patients to the most appropriate medical facility. In accomplishing this, Fort Bend County EMS staff will approach their duties in a diligent manner, ensuring each patient receives a compassionate and thorough assessment, appropriate intervention, and, when warranted, prompt transportation. Following medical director approved protocols, internal policies and procedures along with standard operating guidelines, staff members will be well-directed, trained and prepared to perform at the highest standards possible.

At the request of Texas Emergency Medical Task Force Region 6 & CIMA, MPV6-03 (Weber, Potter) recently participated in a full scale exercise at the Enterprise Products facility in Mont Belvieu. We successfully operated with our partners at Mont Belvieu Fire Department to triage & track patients using Pulsara.

Friday we hosted the Wharton County Junior College EMS program at the Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management Emergency Operations Center and also attended Commissioner Andy Meyers community event at Commonwealth Elementary where we demonstrated hands only CPR (Paramedic Connelly, FTO Dennis, LT Williams). Saturday was Trunk or Treat with Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union (Paramedic Sosa). ??: C. Williams & S. Sosa

MPV6-03 (Sutton, Molinari, Willis) and BC603 (BC Eye) responded to the explosion at Rapid X Change propane transfer facility in Waller County to provide force protection to those responders operating on scene.
