On behalf of FATA Automation, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Martina Robb on her retirement. After a remarkable 36-year career filled with dedication and hard work, Martina is stepping into a well-deserved retirement and as she put it, “it is time to begin my second phase of life, where I would like to spend more time with my family, doing crafts and travelling.” She is also considering becoming a volunteer at the Flint Institute of Music where she and her husband have enjoyed numerous theatrical and musical performances throughout the years. Although Martina is known by the FATA Team for her contributions as a Controls Project Engineer since 2019, she originally began her working life as a Chemistry Teacher at Elizabethtown Community College in Kentucky for five years. When she got out of teaching, she moved to Michigan and eventually transitioned into engineering within the automotive industry. Here at FATA Automation, Martina has been a valuable part of the Engineering Team and had a direct impact on numerous successful projects for our customers including Daimler Truck, GM Oshawa and GM Ramos. She was also heavily involved in all the company’s Rivian projects and has been a subject matter expert in our automated electrical engineering software packages including Rockwell and EPLAN. Martina will be greatly missed by her work family, her colleagues, and clients alike, but our loss is the gain for her family! Cheers to you, Martina! We are pleased to announce the addition of Stephen Lambert to the FATA Automation team as our new Accountant.? ? Stephen has built an impressive career in accounting and finance over the past 23 years, specializing in the automotive industry.?His journey is marked by progressive roles and responsibilities, showcasing his expertise and leadership in the field. ? Stephen began his career as a Money Markets Specialist for Volkswagen. In this role, he honed his skills in financial analysis and market operations, laying a strong foundation for his subsequent positions in accounting management which has included Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller for various suppliers in the automotive industry. ? Stephen's most recent position as Project Controller involved working with a robotics automation company for a wide range of customers. His responsibilities included cost analysis and tracking, revenue forecasting, and month-end close activities. ? Stephen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Walsh College. ? Oakland County celebrated a significant milestone this past October with the tenth anniversary of Manufacturing Day. This annual event highlights the importance of advanced manufacturing in the region and offers students a unique opportunity to engage with the industry firsthand. This year, 1,000 students participated in Manufacturing Day, embarking on educational tours to various advanced manufacturing facilities across Oakland County, including FATA Automation, marking our 7th year of involvement in the event. These visits are crucial in sparking interest in the manufacturing sector among young people, providing them with a glimpse into the innovative and dynamic world of modern manufacturing, and highlighting the potential career paths available. In celebrating a decade of Manufacturing Day, Oakland County reaffirms its commitment to innovation, education, and economic growth. Putting the final touches on our next shipment of Skid Module Conveyors to a customer site for installation during the upcoming Christmas Shutdown. ********** Skid Module Conveyor Systems are a specialty of FATA Automation. Since 2007, FATA Automation has provided over 80 kilometers (50 miles) of Skid Module Conveyors for our customers. If you placed them all end-to-end, that would be from our WHQ in Auburn Hills, MI to Frankenmuth, MI! Skid systems offer an efficient and quiet mode of transportation of skids in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Standard designs are available for both dry and wet area applications. On November 16, 2024, the Oakland County Community Robotic Association held its annual OCCRA League Tournament. The Circuit Breakers and the Circuit Makers of Baker Middle School from the Troy School District made the playoffs in Alliances 3 and 6. Paired with the Clarkston RoboWolves, the Circuit Breakers won the Alliance 3 the tournament and now qualify for the Michigan State Competition. They were winners the of the “Innovate Award” which celebrates a team that thinks imaginatively and has the ingenuity, creativity, and inventiveness to make their designs come to life. The win also helped the team enter the Top 25 list at #25 on the FUN Robotics Network on this season’s first podcast. As a proud sponsor of this educational robotics team that focuses on promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and fostering growth opportunities for our next generation, FATA Automation would like to extend our congratulations to these students and wish them continued success in the Michigan State Competition. #robotics
