Heartbreaking news from our friends at the Team Jack Foundation
A tough day here at Fat Brain. As anyone who knows Fat Brain Toys, we have been long-time advocates of the Team Jack Foundation and their quest to fund research for pediatric brain cancer. Sadly, the Team Jack namesake, Jack Hoffman, lost his 13 year battle to brain cancer yesterday. Our hearts are once again broken for the entire Hoffman family. We'll keep fighting in Jack's name to fund new cancer research in hopes of slowing this insidious disease. Please consider supporting our efforts by donating to the Team Jack Foundation, bidding on an item at their annual fundraising gala, or attending "An Evening with Henry Winkler" this fall in Omaha. Every dollar matters. Rest in peace Jack.

The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) has revealed its Play Awards finalists, chosen from more than 600 products submitted across 18 categories. And we are thrilled announce that we are taking home awards in two of their categories! ?? ?? The Pretendables School Set was chosen as the winner in the Pretend Play category, and Air Toobz - previously a Toy of the Year Finalist at the New York Toy Fair - was recognized as the Play Award winner in the Science category. “We have always been huge proponents of the concept of toys being the tools of childhood,” explained Karen Carson, co-founder of Fat Brain Toys. “Both Pretendables and Air Toobz are perfect examples of toys that are not only fun but instrumental to a child’s development.” ??
