We are dedicated to supporting, nurturing and honoring the future of fashion.

关于我们

The Fashion Scholarship fund is an international non-profit organization composed of influential members of the fashion industry. Our goal is to advance the fashion industry by encouraging gifted and enterprising young people to pursue careers in design, merchandising, retailing and business so the industry will continue to attract dedicated, capable and creative individuals. We regard our scholarship grants as a very worthwhile investment in the future of the fashion industry and, since inception, have awarded millions of dollars in scholarships to thousands of students nationwide from 60 member universities. Record donations of over $20 million have been received in the past ten years. As further support to scholars, we facilitate internships with prestigious fashion companies and provide career mentoring by prominent senior executives who serve on our Board of Governors.

A special thanks to Rachelle for hosting us at her incredible space, which made for the perfect kickoff to the holiday season. Cheers! Photos by Quadir Moore for BFA.

Congrats to 2012 & 2013 FSF Scholar Felicia Podberesky for having her illustrations featured in the 2024 NYC Marathon collection from NikeNYC! We loved Felicia's start-to-finish video, and this quote about the process: "As an artist and runner, I wanted to combine my figure drawing work with my experience running my 1st marathon last year in NYC–the intense training, the doubts you feel, the mental freedom you gain, and the literal and figurative blur of people, noise, and miles on race day. I wanted to capture the energy of the city and humanity in it all and the ability to reframe the 'What if I can’t?' to 'What if I did?.'" –Felicia Podberesky Visit her on Instagram here: instagram.com/feliciapod to see more of her illustration work, and visit https://lnkd.in/d78buJDh to learn about her new joint venture with fellow FSF alumna Lindsay Choi.

In 1937, the Fashion Scholarship Fund was founded as a project of the Young Men’s Apparel Association — a professional association of young men networking their way to successful careers in New York City’s bustling menswear business. Fast forward to 2024, and we’ve evolved into an organization that’s shown demonstrable success in advancing equity and inclusion in the fashion industry’s talent pipeline, and one that aims to direct investments in talented young adults from diverse backgrounds, traditionally underrepresented in the fashion industry. This effort owes much to Virgil Abloh, who joined the FSF Board in 2019 and established the transformational Virgil Abloh? “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund with the FSF. We’re honored to continue the legacy of Virgil. Our work is more important now than ever. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eY_khCJT.

We loved hearing about the importance of confidence early on in your career, especially when it’s coming from none other than Linda Evangelista onstage at last month’s WWD Apparel & Retail CEO Summit in NYC. Thanks to 2023 Virgil Abloh?? “Post-Modern” Scholar Clay Lute for the video!

Today's #FirstJobDiary spotlight: '23 & '24 FSF Scholar Amaryllis Dunklee, who graduated from the fashion program at The University of Texas at Austin this past spring, and is now the Merchandising Vault Coordinator at David Yurman! "The best thing about my job: I'm around jewelry almost 24/7. My role is very product-focused, and I've been working to identify new archive pieces, stones and gems, and review upcoming market samples. I work cross-functionally with our product development, engineering, design, PR, photography, and buying teams, and I love that my role touches each part of the process. I've loved supporting recent campaign launches, including men's high jewelry with Michael B Jordan and the 2024 holiday campaign, as well as red carpet styling with Sabrina Carpenter. Take a look at the photos here!" –Amaryllis Dunklee Thanks for sharing with us, Amaryllis, and congrats!

We caught up with WWD Archives editor and author Tonya Blazio-Licorish–who joined us for our 2024 #SummerScholarSeries to discuss her book “Black in Fashion: 100 Years of Style, Influence & Culture””–at last month’s WWD Apparel & Retail CEO Summit where she shared her best piece of advice for our Scholars. Thank you to WWD for including our Scholars and Alumni in a terrific event, and for the continuous support of FSF!
