In 1937, the Fashion Scholarship Fund was founded as a project of the Young Men’s Apparel Association — a professional association of young men networking their way to successful careers in New York City’s bustling menswear business. Fast forward to 2024, and we’ve evolved into an organization that’s shown demonstrable success in advancing equity and inclusion in the fashion industry’s talent pipeline, and one that aims to direct investments in talented young adults from diverse backgrounds, traditionally underrepresented in the fashion industry. This effort owes much to Virgil Abloh, who joined the FSF Board in 2019 and established the transformational Virgil Abloh? “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund with the FSF. We’re honored to continue the legacy of Virgil. Our work is more important now than ever. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eY_khCJT.

关于我们
The Fashion Scholarship fund is an international non-profit organization composed of influential members of the fashion industry. Our goal is to advance the fashion industry by encouraging gifted and enterprising young people to pursue careers in design, merchandising, retailing and business so the industry will continue to attract dedicated, capable and creative individuals. We regard our scholarship grants as a very worthwhile investment in the future of the fashion industry and, since inception, have awarded millions of dollars in scholarships to thousands of students nationwide from 60 member universities. Record donations of over $20 million have been received in the past ten years. As further support to scholars, we facilitate internships with prestigious fashion companies and provide career mentoring by prominent senior executives who serve on our Board of Governors.

Today's #FirstJobDiary spotlight: '23 & '24 FSF Scholar Amaryllis Dunklee, who graduated from the fashion program at The University of Texas at Austin this past spring, and is now the Merchandising Vault Coordinator at David Yurman! "The best thing about my job: I'm around jewelry almost 24/7. My role is very product-focused, and I've been working to identify new archive pieces, stones and gems, and review upcoming market samples. I work cross-functionally with our product development, engineering, design, PR, photography, and buying teams, and I love that my role touches each part of the process. I've loved supporting recent campaign launches, including men's high jewelry with Michael B Jordan and the 2024 holiday campaign, as well as red carpet styling with Sabrina Carpenter. Take a look at the photos here!" –Amaryllis Dunklee Thanks for sharing with us, Amaryllis, and congrats!
