One of the biggest honors of my life just happened! The Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) awarded us with the “Heroes Award” for FarmHouse Fresh’s animal rescue work & commitment to making a meaningful impact in Texas and the US. This non-profit group is at the forefront of so many important laws that protect animals in Texas. They are OUR heroes – and being recognized by them leaves me speechless & also *inspired* to continue doing even more to make significant impacts for the wellbeing of animals. I’m so proud to be among other award recipients - Assistant District Attorney Jessica Trevizo - Chief, Community Prosecution & Animal Cruelty with Dallas County District Attorney's Office and the Donna North High School Animal Science Department. What a beautiful luncheon – with a roomful of likeminded supporters — amazing shelter and rescue groups, judges, animal control officers, officials, animal policy groups, and more, plus all the family members and coworkers who support everyone through thick and thin.
