*Apologize, long post coming* One of the worst things you can hear from your doctor is "The test results came back and you have cancer". We heard this in 2017 just over a week before my 36th birthday. A young family with 3 girls (4, 2, & 4 mos old at the time) should not have to hear these words, but life throws curveballs. Not everything in life is a fastball down the middle, luckily we had great care teams throughout our journey & employers that stood by us through it all. We had to go through cancer twice (2017 & again in 2019). This synopsis of "our story" played a big part in finding my new career after the car biz. I personally had an AFLAC plan that paid us a total of $70,794.73 through 10/25/23 services & my wife had a plan that paid us a lump sum of $10k at diagnosis (we received that check within 10 days of submission!). If you haven't thought about getting coverage for a critical illness, please reach out to me (licensed in ND currently). If you have coverage, we hope you never need to use it, but reach out and I can help determine if it's the most cost effective plan available to you.
