Farmers’ Rice Cooperative is proud to honor the Weller family as the 2024 FRC Farm Family of the Year. ?? With roots tracing back over a century, the Wellers have been a cornerstone of the FRC community since the very beginning. From Walter Weller, one of FRC’s Charter Members, to Elwood’s leadership on the Board of Directors and now Buck and Bill’s dynamic operation spanning over 6,000 acres of rice, walnuts, almonds and wheat—the Wellers exemplify the spirit of resilience, innovation and partnership that defines FRC. Their legacy doesn’t stop at the fields. Bill Weller’s Farmers Brewing Company uses Weller-grown rice and wheat to craft farm-to-glass beers, showcasing how ingenuity and hard work can lead to new opportunities. Together, the Wellers have shaped FRC’s 80-year history and continue to inspire future generations with their pioneering spirit.
