"90% of mobile internet time is spent in native apps rather than on mobile websites"

As of recent studies, 90% of mobile internet time is spent in native apps rather than on mobile websites. This high engagement with native apps provides a compelling opportunity for brands to reach users in a more personal and data-rich environment. The importance of native apps in targeted marketing lies in the fact that apps enable brands to capture granular user data, like in-app behavior, preferences, and location. This data allows for highly specific audience segmentation and personalized messaging, driving both engagement and conversion rates significantly higher than untargeted approaches.

Discipline + Frameworks = Long-Term Success As I mentioned last week, discipline and consistency in small habits lead to big gains. Whether it’s personal growth or tackling large projects, the process remains the same: BREAK THINGS DOWN INTO MANAGEABLE PARTS AND KEEP CHIPPING AWAY! When approaching major projects, I use a framework that helps prevent work from stalling due to feeling overwhelmed: 1. Start with a clear goal – Know where you’re heading and why. 2. Identify key pillars – The major themes or areas of focus that will support the goal. 3. Break down pillars into work streams – Smaller, actionable areas of effort. 4. Tackle projects within each work stream – Focus on specific, achievable tasks that, together, lead to meaningful results. This method helps build progress over time without being crippled by the enormity of the task. The power of incremental progress is real – steady action over time delivers results. I’d love to hear how others approach massive projects or how small habits have made a difference in your professional journey. Share your thoughts below.

Last night marked the end of the graduate-level Strategic Management and Human Resources class I had the honor of teaching at University of San Francisco. I was privileged to meet and learn from an incredible group of future leaders in the sport industry. Each of my students brought intelligence, curiosity, and a passion for our industry. I am confident they will make a tremendous impact on the industry, and I look forward to seeing all they will accomplish! Thank you to all my students for an unforgettable semester! ?? I also want to give a huge thank you to my friends and peers who volunteered hours of their precious time to provide a view into their career, path and vision. So thank you Alissa Lieppman, Joey Buskirk, Brent Kocher, Nam C. Nguyen, Brian Wright, Dave Klewan and Dan Williams! And finally a huge thank you to the staff, administrators and professors at USF Sport Management Master's Program: Daniel A. Rascher, Ph.D., Ashley Sloper, Ed.D., Lindsay Banks and Nola Agha! #Thankful #SportsLeadership #FutureLeaders #Teaching #USF #StrategicManagement #HR #SportsIndustry

Quick thoughts from our CEO Gabriel on user experience vs. engineering...

This is built on the same wisdom Apple provides in their Human Interface Guidelines. It's interesting how each company offers the same knowledge, but through their own lens: Apple: "Always guide your users to the highest form of user interface." Google: "Deep link to native app experiences because they convert at twice the rate of mobile web." It's a classic Engineer vs. User Experience point of view. In short, invest in experiences that drive business value, then get your users there... LET'S GO!

Excited to have been interviewed by Sports Business Journal earlier this summer, where we discussed the critical role of personalization in marketing—delivering the right experience to the right fan at the perfect moment. At FanReach, we're proud to support our Club clients across the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer, and Canadian Hockey League with innovative technology that helps them segment fans and deliver true 1-to-1 marketing. This approach drives greater engagement, boosts monetization, and enhances the overall fan experience. A big thank you to Gregory Urbano and the Atlanta Falcons for their valuable contributions to the story and for being such an amazing partner over the years! #SportsMarketing #Personalization #FanExperience #Partnerships

I had lunch today with some brilliant technologists, and we got onto the topic of developer productivity. One tip I’ve always found valuable is the power of clear communication—it’s key to alignment. When team members understand the “why” behind their work and how it fits into the bigger picture, it helps sharpen their focus and drive results.
