With all that is happening around us and in our society, we know the importance of ensuring that there are clear policies to support the growing needs of Black Migrants across the African Diaspora! This month Fanm Saj Inc Founder/Executive Director, Ruth Ifakemi Jeannoel joined our comrades at Black Alliance for Just Immigration, Collective Sistahood, Inc @kriphopnation for an enlightening webinar as we shine a spotlight on Mental Health and Disability Awareness Month, two important observances dedicated to raising awareness, promoting acceptance, and advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals living with mental health conditions and disabilities. Fanm Saj joins this webinar, to uplift Healing Justice practices that disrupt dehumanization and promote culturally relevant practices. We explored the intersections of mental health and disability, examining the challenges, stigma, and barriers faced by individuals navigating these experiences. We also highlighted the importance of destigmatizing conversations around mental health and disabilities, promoting access to resources and support services, and advocating for policies that advance equality and inclusion for all.
