The Big Bend Homeless Coalition specializes in preventing and ending family, Veteran, chronic homelessness, and recidivism. BBHC provides shelter, housing, and the motivation to stay housed via community services coordination to assist with education, employment, health, and independence goals. In 2020, BBHC served over 1250 persons. BBHC’s HOPE Community is recognizing 15 years of providing emergency shelter to families with children. When a family comes to HOPE, they can recuperate from life on the streets. Stable shelter, nourishing meals, early childhood assessments, case management, parent/guardian assistance, and resource coordination enable families to expand their opportunities to overcome the trauma of homelessness and move toward recovery and housing stability.
