Family Legal Care is thrilled to announce that The New York Community Trust has awarded us a renewal grant of $200,000 for the next phase of our Digital Justice Initiative! We are so grateful for our partnership and honored to have been selected for this grant to complete a program evaluation and marketing campaign to help get our digital justice tools to more parents and caregivers who need them to best advocate for themselves and their families in Family Court.?Thank you, New York Community Trust! Last week, we were honored to take members of this year’s class of David Rockefeller Fellows to the Bronx County Family Court as part of our Judge for a Day program: an in-depth, in-person look at family court proceedings and the work we do to support parents and caregivers navigating the system. Family Legal Care has been hosting the Partnership for New York City's David Rockefeller Fellows since we first brought the class of 1999-2000 to Manhattan Family Court on November 14th, 2000—24 years ago!

Family Legal Care is excited to launch our new Family Law Explained videos, a series of 12 bilingual digital shorts designed to empower parents and caregivers by explaining complicated family law topics with easy-to-understand language and fun, approachable animation. Our CEO, Cathy Cramer, was honored to present at the New York Bar Foundation’s Leadership Laureate Series: A Celebration Reception on October 29th recognizing the Honorable Adam Silvera and Stephen P. Younger, Senior Counsel, Withers Bergman LLP. Cathy spoke about the impact the Foundation’s grants have in helping Family Legal Care grow, innovate, and better serve our clients, ultimately increasing access to justice for unrepresented litigants in New York Family Court.
