The Family Centered Educational Agency

At FCEA, we believe #education is a family endeavor and that it takes a #community to help every child reach his or her potential. So we've been working with families, schools, and community partners to build strong relationships that will carry students through college and beyond. The Family Centered Educational Agency provides extra support to nearly 1,500 students every year through it's federally funded #TRiO programs. Here, we provide students with the skills and motivation that they need to make it to #college and finish their degree.

A couple of weeks ago, we teamed up with District 205 Thornton Township High Schools! ?? Our Talent Search team hosted a #FAFSA crash course, helping seniors get a head start by setting up their FSA IDs and diving into the FAFSA process, so they're ready to roll on December 1st. Our CEO, Dr. McKenzie inspired students with insights on all the pathways available after graduation—and the resources to help them succeed. Our Upward Bound students had an incredible experience attending the STEAM Symposium in Florida! During this transformative event, they connected with representatives from various colleges and universities, explored career opportunities with Comcast NBCUniversal, and one of our students even participated in an exclusive interview. They also had the unique opportunity to speak directly with the engineers and designers behind Epic Universe—and were gifted laptops to support their academic journey. We were so hyped to see students showing up, setting up their FSA IDs, and diving into college & scholarship applications—no tricks, just treats for their futures. ??
