Last Saturday, an amazing team of board members, friends, and one impressively strong kiddo (who, thankfully, didn’t report us to his union rep ??) came together to sort and move furniture for our Next Steps Family Resilience Project. Their hard work and dedication are helping us prepare for families to call this place “home.” We’re also incredibly grateful for Beloit College's generous donation, which included beds, mattresses, dressers, and side tables for our apartments. This impactful donation ensures that the children in residence will have a safe and comfortable place to sleep while allowing us to focus resources on other needs, like appliances and additional furniture. This is just one step in the journey to support these families as they rebuild their lives, but it is a big one. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who showed up, dug in (literally), and helped us get closer to making this vision a reality. Stay tuned for more updates on this project and how you can participate.
