According to the State of Homelessness: 2024 edition, homelessness continues to rise especially for those who are experiencing homelessness for the first time. Unfortunately, the updated numbers are trending in the wrong direction. Families need our support now more than ever. A future Begins at Home Report - June 2024 In the last five months FPTC has provided $19,238.80 in financial support to families in our community. We have provided one-time financial assistance to 32 families, kept 58 children stable in their own homes and reduced the potential for childhood trauma caused by homelessness. All but one of the families we have provided financial assistance too has maintained their homes and have stabilized. As a result, FPTC has a 99% success rate with our prevention/division program. Together, we are helping our neighbors in need. The need far outweighs our current budget of $5,000 per month (funding through December 2024), however, we are thrilled to help the families we can. It’s moving day at FPTC. We welcomed a momma and her two littles home today. The little girl squealed with excitement when she noticed the apartment has a bath tub. She said, “mom, mom, look there is a tub.” She cannot wait to jump in. The momma had tears rolling down her face when she realized there was a fully functioning and stocked kitchen. She is beyond excited to making dinner for herself and her babies tonight, something she has not been able to do for almost three months. The best part is, this mom gets to bake a birthday cake for her son who was unable to celebrate his special day yesterday. Thanks to your continued support, this family will have a wonderful night in their new home with a home cooked meal, birthday cake and a special birthday gift for her son. Thank YOU for making moments and memories like this possible. This is the start of this family’s journey to a new life.

The case manager will work closely with families experiencing homelessness, provide comprehensive case management services and support to help families achieve stability and self-sufficiency. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well an understanding of the challenges faced by homeless families and the resources available to assist them. We are excited to announce that Family Promise of Tulsa County has partnered with Robert Craig Films to use the power of film to inspire action on behalf of the homeless crisis in our communities! Robert Craig Films is giving 50% of the net proceeds as well as $1,000,000 from the Robert Craig Films Foundation to be shared by other nonprofits involved in homelessness across the country, and FPTC has been approved to receive funding. Robert Craig Films is releasing its feature film, "No Address," in theaters this fall and will additionally release a documentary, "Americans With No Address," a novelization of the screenplay, an interactive resource guide, and a music album that will provide songs for the movie and radio distribution. Robert Craig Films has coined the phrase "The Big 5" to represent The Big 5 productions, and we are so excited to announce that we are a part of the Big 5 GIVEBACK! The film is studded with Hollywood celebrities, such as William Baldwin, Ashanti, Xander Berkeley, Beverly D'Angelo, Lucas Jade Zumann, Patricia Velasquez, Isabella Ferreira, and Ty Pennington. "No Address" will vividly portray that homelessness could happen to anyone.
