This engaging and thought-provoking session helped families explore the "why" behind their money habits through a fun, solitaire-style game that inspired self-reflection and growth. Last month, our amazing staff members Adam, Lesly, and Jaraya attended the Family Promise National Conference, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they represented our team! ?? They had a fantastic time connecting with people from other Family Promise affiliates across the country, sharing ideas, and learning together. ?? The conference was packed with opportunities to grow and gain confidence in how we can best support families experiencing homelessness. Adam, Lesly, and Jaraya returned to FPGW inspired and energized to continue their incredible work, armed with new tools and strategies to make an even greater impact in our community. ?? ?? Today officially marks National Philanthropy Day - a day recognized across the country to celebrate philanthropy and all of the good that it creates in our world! FPGW team members Connor Cross, Dawn Epp, and Beth Schafers got the chance to attend this week's local celebration of this occasion - the NPD Luncheon hosted by the Kansas Heartland Association of Fundraising Professionals. During this luncheon, several volunteers, professionals, and philanthropists were honored for their work in the area of philanthropy. Beth was also recognized as the Chamberlain scholarship recipient, which will support her attendance of the largest conference for fundraising professionals in the world. We're grateful for this show of support for Beth's professional development, as well as the growth it enables for the Family Promise mission!
