Family Promise of Greater Denver is excited to announce our involvement in the Giving Machines this holiday season! ? For those of you who aren't familiar with the Giving Machines, these are vending machines at Cherry Creek Holiday Market where you can choose different levels of donation. ? You can donate as little as $10 which will give a family in our program a hot meal or up to $150 which will give a family a bedding set including a cot, sheet, pillow and blanket. With 5 different levels of donation, you can contribute as little or as much as you are able to. Every dollar from the Giving Machines goes directly towards the families in our programs and are available to participate in until January 5th! ? This Thanksgiving Family Promise of Greater Denver is hosting a food drive. ? Not every family is able to have a Thanksgiving dinner like many of us which is why Family Promise of Greater Denver is putting together Thanksgiving boxes to give to our families. This year we gave Warming Ways for Winter a new look with a new venue, new food, and new auction items. Thank you to the staff and committee members for their dedication in making this year's event a huge success! All money from sponsorships, donations, ticket sales, and auction items go directly into the programs of Family Promise of Greater Denver and allows us to continue to provide life-saving services into 2025. Denver's homeless issue is on the rise and we are now able to assist more families with shelter, rental assistance, move-in assistance, and stabilization services. Happy Halloween!! ? This past weekend, Family Promise of Greater Denver celebrated the spooky season with a Trunk or Treat for our families! Staff and volunteers decorated our trunks and had a variety of candy for the children in our program. At Family Promise of Greater Denver, we strive to find ways for the families in our program to be able to celebrate every holiday. ? Experiencing homelessness uproots families lives in every way and can lead to a break in traditions when it comes to holidays, therefore we want to create unique experiences for those families in our program to ensure every holiday is celebrated with joy and laughter! ? Warming Ways for Winter is almost here! ? This year, the number of families experiencing homelessness increased by over 1,000 from 2,101 in 2023 to 3,136 in 2024. Our services are in higher demand more than ever which is why every dollar raised from ticket sales, sponsorships, general donations, and silent auction bids from Warming Ways for Winter will go directly towards assisting these families at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. ? Next year we aim to assist even more families with rental assistance, move-in assistance, shelter services, and services provided to families gaining stability.
