Family Promise empowers families experiencing housing insecurities to secure a safe, affordable home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future for their children. Within our shelter, prevention/diversion, and stabilization programs we offer our services to anyone 18+ who has at least one child in their primary custody. Additionally, our Rising Stars Early Learning Center - named for our dedication to offering a Safe, Trusting, Accepting, Respectful, and Secure learning environment - is a community based early learning center that provides developmentally appropriate childcare and early learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We offer a scholarship program based on true income and expenses to provide families with upward mobility. Our goal is to ensure childcare is accessible for every family in our community.

This school year, the number of homeless students, K - 12, in the Bozeman School District, INCREASED by 73.3% over last year. According to Anna Edwards, Family-School Services Coordinator Bozeman School District 7 and Family Promise board member, in the 2023-24 school year Bozeman School District identified 241 McKinney-Vento students K-12. For reference, the previous year we identified 139 students. The McKinney-Vento Act provides rights and services to children and youth experiencing homelessness, which includes those who are: sharing the housing of others due to loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason; staying in motels, trailer parks, or campgrounds due to the lack of an adequate alternative; staying in shelters or transitional housing; or sleeping in cars, parks, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, or similar settings.

?? It's that time of year again! We will be hosting our 3rd Annual Summer Kick-Off Carnival on June 15th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm in our parking lot on Tschache Lane. That's right, it's on a Saturday this year! So save the date, and get ready for a day full of giant inflatables, a dunk tank, games, prizes, goodie bags from The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company, Bozeman Tropical Sno, and food donated from Town & Country and grilled by the one and only XL Country 100.7 hosts, Derek and Megan! ?? Rather than an entry fee, this year, we are asking attendees to provide at least 1 item from the following list: ?Laundry detergent ?Dryer sheets ?Dish soap ?Hand soap ?Diapers (sizes 4 and up) ?Baby wipes ?Sunscreen ?Bug spray ?Toilet paper We are looking for volunteers for this fun-filled day; if you're interested, please contact Jaclyn at [email protected].
