We had an amazing night on November 2 for our Driving Home Hope gala...our largest fundraiser of the year! We blew our fundraising goal away thanks to the generosity of our supporters and sponsors. With some donations still coming in, we are happy to report that we raised nearly $250,000 that evening...to be used directly to support Essex County families facing the crisis of homelessness. Special thanks to Board Member & Event Chair, Jane Zoidis-Quinn, for spearheading the efforts. FPE was proud to honor Kathy Hay Stine, a longtime supporter, beloved volunteer and Board Member & Chair. Shout out to Kate Albright (https://lnkd.in/eZha2ps3) for these fantastic photos. If you were not able to attend Driving Home Hope, but would still like to support our event fundraising efforts, you can?donate here. https://lnkd.in/ehYiZmKZ

This wonderful young woman, Jessie McGowan, had a goal for Bat Mitzvah project and wow, did she ever exceed it! Jessie chose to support FPE by collecting items for Welcome Home Kits that we provide to families who are exiting shelter and moving into permanent housing. On Tuesday, Jessie and her mom delivered an entire carful of cleaning products and toiletries to our office. Jessie set up a table outside of Brookdale ShopRite in Bloomfield for nearly four hours collecting items. Jessie put together the flyer pictured here and asked shoppers if they would consider contributing to her collection to support families experiencing homelessness. The shoppers did not disappoint!!! We are so grateful to Jessie, her family and to all of the ShopRite customers (and store manager) who supported this fantastic project. The families who will each get an overflowing bag of cleaning products and toiletries appreciate this more than we can express.

Special thanks to Co-Chairs Courtney Rosenkrantz and Christina Basile Magill for spearheading this effort and to Courtney for making the delivery to our FPE office in Montclair! We are truly grateful for this partnership and support!
