Protecting children. Strengthening families. Changing lives. Together, we can make that happen.
关于我们
Family Partnerships of Central Florida is committed to protecting children, strengthening families and changing lives through a comprehensive, integrated, community-based system of care that provides adoption, foster care and independent living services for children and families in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Contracted with the Florida Department of Children and Families as the lead child welfare agency in the four-county area, Family Partnerships of Central Florida's mission is to ensure that the children it serves thrive in safe, healthy and loving families. We begin by helping Central Florida families overcome the root causes of abuse and neglect through programs that offer case management and other prevention services. When children can’t remain safely in their homes, we support them through foster care, adoption and beyond to ensure that they are able to move toward brighter futures.

John Watson experienced foster care for nearly five years and says it was mostly positive. He had only three placements, while some of his peers experienced more than 30. During those years, he became a founding member and later senior advisor of the Brevard Youth Leadership Council, working with other youth and professionals to lobby members of the Florida Legislature. He also coordinated foster home recruitment efforts and worked to find independent housing options for youth aging out. Now, the 24-year-old UCF graduate is using his bachelor’s degree in political science as a legislative analyst with the Florida Department of Children and Families. He’s just one of many young people who not only thrived in our system of care but is devoting his professional life to helping other youth thrive. He’s excited to share his story at our Fore Our Kids Golf Tournament April 18, and we’re excited to hear it. Join us! Rayla James describes herself as a thriving, 24-year-old foster care alumna. She spent four years in care, moving between group and foster homes, searching for stability, and ultimately aging out at 18. Rayla went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from UCF and now works as the young adult coordinator for the Florida Guardian ad Litem office. She’s using her lived experience to elevate the voice of youth and promote positive changes in the child welfare system. And she’s excited to share her story at our Fore Our Kids Golf Tournament April 18. We’re excited to hear it. Join us! Our Youth Services team was in the house today doing what they do best — making sure our older youth experiencing foster care thrive and successfully transition to adulthood. WFTV Channel 9 was also there, capturing what that team and others do for a series of Forever Family segments that will air on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. Stay tuned! #foster #fosteringsaveslives #familypartnershipsofcfl #communitysupport

It was so nice to see so many of our wonderful Brevard foster parents who joined us for Brunch and Bingo at SunTree United Methodist Church in celebration of #FosterParentAppreciationWeek! Their dedication and care make such a difference in the lives of children and families, and we are so grateful for the unwavering support they and all our caregivers provide. And special thanks to the event’s sponsors and volunteers. Embodied Healing Center handled set-up and provided massages. BCFAPA provided childcare volunteers, and Equipped & Encouraged provided dye-free cotton candy, BINGO prizes and take-home cups with gift cards. We’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration. #foster #fosteringsaveslives #familypartnershipsofcfl #ItTakesAVillage #communitysupport
