Last week, we had the pleasure of co-hosting a site visit with Jill Roaldson and Kristin Dehmer from Moorhead Area Public Schools to discuss our Moorhead School-Based Health Clinic. We were honored to welcome Julie Neitzel Carr and Jennifer Marshall from the Minnesota Department of Health, as well as Shawna Hedlund and Connie Sheehan from the Minnesota School-Based Health Alliance. The discussion was highly productive and will significantly contribute to our progress. We are always delighted to offer tours of the clinic!

?? Team Safety Milestone! ?? We are thrilled to announce that 12 members of our team have successfully completed the AVADE Training for workplace violence prevention! ??? At Family HealthCare, the safety of our team and our patients is our top priority. Through this comprehensive training, our team has gained valuable skills in de-escalation techniques, the art of listening, understanding types of nonverbal communication, and much more. This training empowers us to create a safer, more supportive environment for everyone. Let’s continue to prioritize safety and well-being in the workplace while we provide high quality healthcare for every person!

Meet our new Physician Assistant, Hafsa! Hafsa Musa provides comprehensive care to patients of all age groups with acute and chronic conditions. Her areas of interest include pediatrics, diabetes management, and women's health. Hafsa graduated with her Bachelor of Science from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Hafsa is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). This means that she has passed the examination that accredits her as a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. She is licensed in both Minnesota and North Dakota. Hafsa's interests include spending time with family and friends, traveling, and listening to true crime podcasts.

Happy National Pharmacy Week! Today we celebrate our Pharmacy Technicians. They do an amazing job each day to ensure our patients receive medications that are effective and affordable. Our Pharmacy Technicians provide a personal link between the patient and the pharmacist which leads to improved medication compliance and patient care. Lindsay and Heather have been with our South Fargo pharmacy for years. They have open communication with providers to ensure that every patient receives the medications and support they need. Their hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to providing excellent care make a tremendous impact every single day. Whether it's managing medications, assisting and advocating for patients, or supporting the entire pharmacy team, their dedication does not go unnoticed. They are professional, have a positive attitude, and always go the extra mile. They truly are the backbone of our pharmacy, and we are incredibly lucky to have them both! We also added to our South Fargo pharmacy team this year. Rhonda comes to us with a diverse background including previous experience in the community health space and a great understanding of the mission of Family HealthCare and the pharmacy. We are excited to have her join us! Our downtown Fargo team of technicians shared what they most like about being a pharmacy technician. Thank you, Kelly, Kera, Chandler, Lauren, Erin, Hannah, and Kali, for your dedication to our patients! Family HealthCare partners with NDSU College of Health and Human Sciences for our downtown and South Fargo pharmacy locations. Our pharmacies are operated by North Dakota State University and provide dispensing services exclusively to Family HealthCare patients.

Happy 10-year work anniversary to Ravin! She is a Health Information Management Coordinator who processes and maintains patient records and manages requests for medical information. We are so grateful for Ravin's dedication to Family HealthCare!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening of our Moorhead School-Based Health Clinic! We’re honored to partner with Moorhead Area Public Schools to serve their amazing students and families. The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and will follow the school schedule.
