That's why, each month, SHARE Charlotte highlights local nonprofits doing great work for a cause that may be close to your heart - or one you want to learn more about through #SpotlightOnCLT. This February, SHARE Charlotte is highlighting nonprofit partners that are working to impact ??Financial Literacy?? in Charlotte. These organizations empower individuals and families to achieve financial independence and security through: ?? education ??? budgeting workshops ???? coaching ?? and connections to resources for entrepreneurs. We're very thankful that U.S. Bank is partnering with us to present this month's topic and support these nonprofits. ?? Meet Peggy! ?? In 2004, Peggy and her family moved from the DC Metro area to Charlotte to continue her incredible career in financial services with Bank of America. ???? Before that, she held senior risk positions in banking and played a key role in launching the Financial Services Coordinating Council, which still helps coordinate critical infrastructure and homeland security with the financial services industry today. ?? In 2020, Peggy joined Wells Fargo as Executive Vice President for Control Management, overseeing risk and control in the tech areas supporting Commercial & Corporate Banking. ???? But Peggy’s impact doesn’t stop there! ?? She became passionate about Families Forward Charlotte after seeing how the education and mentorship programming is breaking the cycle of poverty for so many families. ???? With her dedication, she’s now helping to grow their reach and bring more support to families in need here in Charlotte. ??? Taylor moved from Georgia to Charlotte in 2021 and quickly found her passion for working in the nonprofit sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. A proud wife and mom to a sweet boy, she balances family life with her mission to support and uplift others. Taylor loves building connections and making sure everyone feels seen, heard, and valued in everything she does.
