We are so proud that Micaela is the first Filipina American to serve the City of North Las Vegas as City Attorney and now, as City Manager. We are also very proud of her commitment and dedication to pro bono by giving vulnerable children a voice in court through the Children's Attorneys Project. The Asian Bar Association of Nevada and the Filipino American Lawyers Association of Nevada are collaborating with Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada to recognize the appointment of Micaela Moore as the City Manager of North Las Vegas. Micaela is the first Filipina-American to serve North Las Vegas as City Attorney and City Manager. She also serves the community as a pro bono volunteer through the Children’s Attorneys Project at Legal Aid Center. The Filipino American Lawyers Association of Nevada is official! We are now the 18th affiliate chapter of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA) and an affinity bar organization of the State Bar of Nevada. Over the past few months, our chapter recruited 48 members of lawyers, judges and law students. Last Thursday, we gathered for our inaugural event at NoyPitz Filipino Restaurant in Las Vegas. We had a wonderful time connecting with each other and look forward to building our community together with our NFALA family.
