Last night, FAJR had the honor of visiting the Orland Park Prayer Center in Chicago. Dr. Mosab Nasser and Dr. Mohammad Tahir were warmly welcomed by Sheikh Kifah Mustapha, Imam and Director of the masjid, alongside Dr. Haitham Alzamareeh, Imam and Director of Islamic Studies, and key community members. Dr. Tahir delivered a powerful and inspiring speech to the congregation, which was met with deep appreciation. A special thank you to Br. Ahmed Tayeh, one of FAJR’s key supporters, and Ms. Dania Odeh, FAJR’s Director in Chicago, for their dedication in strengthening our mission. We are grateful for the generosity and hospitality of Sheikh Kifah and the Orland Park community. Your support fuels our work and brings us closer to serving those in need. We will be visiting Chicago again soon focusing on launching our Chicago Chapter under the leadership of Ms. Dania Odeh.

Dr. Mohammad Tahir, Chief of Surgery at FAJR, reunited with Mayar in a moment filled with hope and resilience. He first met her amidst the devastation in Gaza, where she was fighting for survival. Now, after FAJR evacuated her to the U.S. for proper medical treatment, she is receiving the care she needs and making incredible progress. Mayar’s strength continues to inspire us all. Dr. Mosab Nasser, CEO of FAJR, announces FAJR’s upcoming surgical mission to Pakistan next month. In April, a team of 45 surgeons, logistics, and operations specialists will be working in Karachi, Lahore, and Muzaffarabad (Kashmir) across six hospitals to perform complex surgeries and build the local medical capacity. The team will perform the following types of surgeries: Pediatric cardiology, orthopedic reconstructive surgeries, Urology, ophthalmology and general surgery. This mission is a token of appreciation to the Pakistani community, who stood by the people of Gaza in their time of need. It’s not Pakistan that needs FAJR. It’s FAJR that needs Pakistan.
