Thrilled to be featured by Forbes Australia as we expand into North America and Europe to enable supply chain visibility and address risk. This milestone has been made possible by the support of leading investors - Minderoo Foundation, Airtree, Five V Capital, QIC, and Tidal Ventures - and the organisations that have trusted us to partner with them. We’re excited about this next step and the opportunity to make a positive impact on a global scale.
Carbon emissions are the easy part. Fair Supply also wants to find the endangered frogs and people in slavery in your supply chain – and with fresh funds from the likes of Five V Capital, Airtree, and QIC, the startup is now targeting Europe and North America. “Often businesses don't have the visibility over their value chain to be able to even?identify, let alone assess, risk.?And so this automates that risk assessment process and then also provides insights as?to how to mitigate that risk," says Fair Supply co-founder Kimberly Randle. ??? Australia’s mandatory climate-related financial disclosures came into effect from 1 January 2025. Certain entities, as required by the Corporations Act, must now report sustainability metrics in line with the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) S2 standard. The reporting requirements mandate the disclosure of specific metrics and targets, including scenario analysis and scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reporting. The GHG Protocol, the global standard for greenhouse gas accounting, categorises emissions into three scopes: ?????????? ??: Direct emissions from company operations (e.g., company vehicles) ?????????? ??: Indirect emissions from purchased energy (e.g., electricity, heating, cooling) ?????????? ??: Emissions across the entire value chain, both upstream (e.g., purchased goods, transportation) and downstream (e.g., product use, waste disposal). These emissions often account for 70-90% of a company’s total carbon footprint and are the most complex to calculate. Businesses must disclose scope 1 and 2 emissions in their first year of reporting, with scope 3 emissions required from their second year. Join us for Climate Summer School on 27-28 February 2025 to learn: ? How to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions ? Conduct scenario analysis to assess climate resilience ? Create compliance-ready reports aligned with Australian standards Save 20% with code ?????????????????????? before 17 January 2025! ???????????????? ????????: https://lnkd.in/gY5KTfb5
