Richard T. De George, PhD, a leading scholar in business ethics and applied philosophy, will examine the ethical complexities of capitalism in a virtual seminar hosted by the Patrick J. Waide Center for Applied Ethics. Drawing from his extensive work in political and social philosophy, he will address the question, "Is Capitalism Morally Defensible?" This session offers a deep dive into the moral dimensions of capitalism, followed by an interactive Q&A.

ICYMI: Fairfield's Investment Banking Society hosted Matthew Barnard, Director of Equity Research, and Shannon Doherty '20, Equity Research Associate from Deutsche Bank, for an insightful presentation on equity research and career opportunities in the industry. The event was attended by 82 students, offering a valuable opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals. “Matt and Shannon provided amazing insights into the constantly evolving role of equity research. Fairfield's Real Estate Club partnered with Spinnaker Real Estate Partners for an exclusive tour of The Anthem in New Haven, giving students real-world insights into large-scale development. The club offers students unique opportunities to connect with industry professionals and explore career paths in real estate.

Representatives from more than a dozen accounting firms visited Fairfield Dolan to share their career experiences and answer questions from students exploring the field. The evening included a Q&A panel followed by a networking session with recruiters, professionals, and alumni.
