Parameters of the job include: research operations management and strategy, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and policy communications. Required: - Proven knowledge of community development and small business finance in the US - At least 3 years experience in project management and cross-sectoral stakeholder management - Masters degree or work experience equivalent - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Must work from NYC/ Tri-State area, or Washington DC. Garrett has managed community development initiatives in Malawi, and led research projects in Tanzania and Ethiopia together with the World Bank, IFAD, the Gates Foundation, and local governments in SSA. At FAI he’ll be driving our global portfolio of projects ahead, including ongoing work on the global Small Firm Diaries. Welcome Garrett! We are going to be hiring a junior and senior position at FAI to work on policy-focused research and communications on financial services for low-income households. These positions are related to our global Small Firm Diaries research project (www.smallfirmdiaries.org) and will include analysis of existing data, ongoing follow-up, and expansion to the United States. Candidates will need skills in field research design and management, data analysis, and policy comms; the exact mix for a particular person can vary.
