While we have always kept costs in mind for clients, particularly since the latest recession, we’ve been acutely aware of the pressure our clients are under to watch the bottom line – and we work hard to keep our costs low. Our Clients: We interact with owners and managers of a diverse portfolio of multi-million dollar corporations, earning their trust and respect far beyond the typical attorney-client relationship. Our firm has struck a chord with large and mid-size businesses (public and private) that look for an alternative to the “Big-law” experience, and we’ve represented 17 Fortune 500 companies since our inception. CTA UPDATE: Over the last few days,?FinCEN?and the?Treasury Department?have announced that they will not enforce any penalties or fines associated with beneficial ownership information reporting rules, even under the new regulatory deadlines (currently set for March 21, 2025).?Pat Shriver, Brad Hutter, and our other FMJ attorneys are continuing to monitor Corporate Transparency Act developments in real time. For now, we know that the federal government will not enforce the CTA for non-compliance. Therefore, BOI reporting is, effectively, in voluntary status again. Corporate Transparency Act UPDATE: BOI Reporting is Back with New Deadlines for Compliance. A Texas federal judge stayed his order barring enforcement of the CTA’s BOI reporting requirements. In response, the Department of the Treasury announced that most companies are required to comply with BOI reporting by?March 21, 2025. The CTA’s status could change yet again, but if you have an LLC or other business entity, you will likely be required to meet these new deadlines.
