关于我们
Founded in 1953 by then “junior college” faculty members, the Faculty Association of California Community Colleges has provided community college faculty with a focused voice in government for nearly six decades. From its initial inception in Long Beach as the California Junior College Faculty Council (CJCFC), community college faculty have succeeded in maintaining FACCC as a professional membership association looking out solely for its one constituency. When Proposition 13 transferred the bulk of community college funding decisions from local trustees to Sacramento, FACCC moved with it. In 2001, FACCC purchased its own building on 11th Street, between “R” and “S,” a few steps away from the State Chancellor’s Office and only four blocks from the Capitol. FACCC welcomes your participation on its Board of Governors and committees. Please take the time to review the website and contact us with any questions, (916) 447-8555. We also hope that you will stop by to visit on your next trip to Sacramento, or that you arrange an opportunity to shadow one of our professional advocates in the State Capitol. It’s a memorable experience you won’t soon forget.

Shoutout to our Northern California Ambassador Dolores Davison and Government Relations Director Anna Mathews for representing FACCC and presenting on AB 1705 at the 52nd annual CMC3 California Mathematics Council Community Colleges conference! Community colleges have been restricted from offering standalone pre-transfer courses in math and English. It’s time to restore flexibility for colleges to serve students effectively! #TrustEducators #HigherEd

Honored to stand with dedicated faculty from Mt. San Antonio College, Long Beach City College, El Camino College, Cerritos College, College of the Desert, and College of the Canyons to support Assemblymember Mike Fong, Chair of the Higher Education Committee, at his recent fundraiser. Every effort to uplift our endorsed candidates makes a difference—especially leaders like Assemblymember Fong, a respected advocate for California’s community colleges! #SupportHigherEd #TrustEducators

Thrilled to support Rhodesia Ransom, FACCC PAC-endorsed candidate for #AD13, at yesterday’s fundraiser! Rhodesia’s work in San Joaquin County—advocating for affordable housing, economic growth, and accessible learning—shows her commitment to equitable education and community well-being. Great to also connect with Senator Susan Talamantes Eggman, Speaker Robert Rivas (FACCC PAC-endorsed candidate for #AD29), and Assemblymember Mia Bonta! #Vote

FACCC PAC Coordinator Andrew Aleman joined Long Beach City College faculty members John Sicklick, Julie McGill, and Long Beach City College Faculty Association President Suzanne Engelhardt at a fundraiser supporting FACCC PAC-endorsed candidate Senator Lena A. Gonzalez. This event provided an opportunity to engage with influential legislators and discuss issues affecting their college and community. As California Senate Majority Leader and a member of the Senate Education Committee, Senator Gonzalez remains a strong advocate for education, working families, and environmental initiatives.
