FACETS is saddened to share the news of the loss of our friend, James Jerome "Jim" Brigl, who passed away on November 6, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. As a former chief executive officer of FACETS, Jim's leadership, compassion, and dedication to helping the most underserved in our community has left an enduring impact. On November 13th, CGG Paralegals @Cheri Federici, Jamie Montoney, Jennifer Horn, and Legal Assistant Alyssa Ortiz, traveled to the law offices of Blankenship & Keith to attend the FBA Paralegal Section’s Thanksgiving Food Drive to collect food for families that are served by FACETS. Their efforts, along those of paralegals from Curran Moher Weis, BrigliaHundley Hundley, Mcguire Woods, Greenspun Shapiro, McCandlish Lillard, and many more, collected over $3,000 in food and monetary donations this year! Special shoutout to Blankenship & Keith for their food drive competition! Their firm really turned out this (and every!) year with their creative themes and donations! The Exterior Medics team came together for a Thanksgiving food drive in support of FACETS helping provide families with everything they need for a warm, holiday meal. Donations included stuffing, cranberry sauce, canned veggies, and more to create “Thanksgiving Bundles.” FACETS is dedicated to helping families find safe, sustainable housing and offering support to those in need. Trunks Needed for October 26 Trunk-Or-Treat Events Join FACETS’ Opportunity Neighborhood-Annandale on Saturday, 10/26 to engage with our community, provide a safe and fun environment for the children, and spread some joy during this festive Halloween season. We’re looking for at least 15 more volunteers to sign up for this year’s Trunk-or-Treat events: The Vistas of Annandale from 11 am - 12 pm (set-up beginning at 10) and Fairmont Gardens from 1:30 - 2:30 pm (set-up beginning at 12:30 pm). All you need is to your car or truck, decorate the trunk, and bring goodies to hand out to the community. It’s a fun way to give back to the Annandale community.
