Recently, I conducted an in-person SWOT analysis session with my client’s corporate team. What stood out most was how certain elements emerged as both threats and opportunities, depending on perspective. This experience underscored the impact of our state of mind, timing, and both internal and external influences on our perception. An opportunity today can become tomorrow’s challenge—or vice versa—all depending on how we frame it. It was a powerful reminder of the role opinions and perspectives play in shaping business strategies - and in life. What’s fascinating is that our opinions, often rooted in unique experiences and individual biases, can shift. I just wrapped up a whirlwind, multi-city store tour for a multi-location jewelry client— 8 cities, 10 flights, 4 rental cars, and over 50 stores (including competitors) visited, all with just a 20” suitcase and mostly athleisure wear.
