FABSCRAP Appoints Two New Board Members for New Stage of Growth!

BROOKLYN, NY, FEBRUARY 19, 2025 – FABSCRAP, an innovative recycling and reuse organization committed to ending textile waste, today announced that, effective January 1, 2025, it had expanded the size of its Board from 5 to 7 and elected Meaghan Condon and Claire Kells as Directors.?Condon and Kells bring diverse skillsets to the FABSCRAP Board, complimenting that of the existing Board members, Jessica Schreiber, Nick Dominguez, David Hirschler, Camille Diane Tagle, and Margaret Bishop.
Ms. Condon is the Director of Communications & Impact at URBN (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie Group, Free People & Nuuly). In this role, Ms. Condon oversees internal and external communications, as well as enterprise-level charitable partnerships and impact reporting. Ms. Condon has spent her career in marketing and communications, including eight years in roles that combined her passions for marketing and social impact.

Ms. Kells is the Associate Director of Development and Events for the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, where she develops and executes the Center’s strategic fundraising initiatives and events. Ms. Kells has extensive experience in corporate fundraising, both at NYU and at the United Nations Global Compact, where she worked on strategy, relationship management, and events to mobilize funding and private sector action to advance sustainable development.

FABSCRAP is on an ambitious mission to end textile waste in the fashion industry. FABSCRAP works with over 800 brands to recycle, reuse, and repurpose their pre-consumer waste. Last year alone, FABSCRAP diverted about 300,000 pounds of fabric from landfill.
