Exciting announcement ??
As we navigate the many complexities of the 21st century, it’s clear that our current economic systems are not equipped to tackle the pressing challenges we face—from economic inequality to environmental crises. The need for a new framework is more urgent than ever, and that’s why I’m excited to announce the launch of a new series on Ouros Economics ??
Ouros Economics is a framework I’ve been developing that integrates fundamental economic, psychological, and ecological concepts to create a more sustainable, equitable, and decentralized global economy. This series will share my ongoing research, reflections, and interpretations, as I continue to learn and build a deeper understanding of the intersections between these disciplines. I like to think of it as building a dissertation in public ??
I believe that the economic system of the future requires us to constantly question, learn from, and evolve our current economic model. This series will include literature reviews, analysis of key ideas, and discussions of how concepts from economics, psychology, sustainability, technology and philosophy can inform and reshape our understanding of what is possible in the future of global economics. The goal is not only to share insights but also to foster dialogue around these complex and evolving ideas ??
In this series, I’ll explore the fundamental building blocks of Ouros Economics and how they intersect with core principles of human behavior at the micro and macro scales. I’ll cover topics such as:
1?? How can we redesign economic systems to prioritize the long-term survival of humanity?
2?? What role does human psychology play in shaping economic behavior, and how can we use this knowledge to create systems that work for all?
3?? How can we move beyond the repetitive cycles of wealth inequality to create a more just and sustainable economy?
As part of this journey, I’ll dive deep into existing literature, discuss philosophical frameworks, and explore the psychological drivers behind economic decision-making. My aim is to build a rich, ongoing dialogue that brings together diverse perspectives to help us all rethink what’s possible in the future of economics.
I’m constantly learning and evolving my understanding of these topics, and I hope this series sparks thoughtful discussions and challenges the status quo. The journey is just beginning, and I’m thrilled to have you along for the ride.
Stay tuned for the first set of posts, where I’ll explore the definition of economics from first principles and how it can help us design a more sustainable and equitable economic system ??
Let’s rethink economics for the future—together.
