Dear FaB Miami friends
With some sadness but essentially with the feeling of a great accomplishment, I will be stepping down from my FaB Miami chapter leader role by end of July. Indeed, time is now for me to focus on my ventures with SANA CONSULTING and MAGNA LABS, supporting early-stage startups to set up and develop in the US market, and to raise the funds they need to grow and scale.
I launched the FaB chapter in Miami pro-bono in 2019 to gather local entrepreneurs in Fashion and Beauty, and to promote technology innovators disrupting these industries. Since then, we:
-???????grew our local community over 500 followers as founders, funders, and industry experts.
-???????organized many in-person and virtual events with panels, fireside chats and “at home” intimate gatherings.
-???????Welcomed dozens of founders to set up in our magic city.
-???????Contributed as one of the most active chapters in our global community now present in 15+ countries.
Beyond thanking our local community, I want to thank my speakers and peers for their unconditional contribution. Just to name a few here: Haniff Brown, Andrea Del Risco, Dave Desmarais, Eric Malka, Alexandra Tymann, Pedro Sostre III, Gabriella Smith, Valeria Savino, Alvaro De Jesus, Julia Daviy Berezovska, Karina Moises, Denise Serrano Jost, Julie Aurélie Evans, Sasha Astafyeva, Cristina Nu?ez, Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, Rima Reddy, Sarra Zayani, Jonathan Cole, Martu E. Freeman-Parker, Dana Thomas.
I also want to thank my peers, especially Isabelle Rabier ??, Camille ?ABALE, Fabienne Sebaoun, Zachary Parker, Lin Chen, Elnura Ashimova, Chloe Takahashi, Gabriela Salord and Sebastián Fernández-Medrano, Nikki Dominguez (she/her), Andrés Arango Mesa and Mialy Ravelojaona for their support and availability.
Huge kudos and gratitude go to Odile Roujol, our global community founder, who gave me the fantastic opportunity to join her in the journey to promote innovation, sustainability, diversity and technology in Fashion and in Beauty. Merci Odile ????
Finally, I am delighted to announce that my friend Mitali Saxena will take over my role. As the founder & CEO of Fashom, and a well-known female entrepreneur, she has the experience, the leadership, and the energy to accelerate the momentum we created.
I could not imagine someone better equipped to be FaB in Miami. Congratulations Mitali ??
